We are looking for talented, creative and energetic Content Writer for Websites to join our Colombo Office (Pitakotte). You are required to create purpose fit website content based on requirements from internal and client briefs. Elaborate on or summarise provided content where required to achieve the business purpose with a marketing mindset. You will need to demonstrate your creative writing talents to produce content to a high standard. We are specifically calling digital writers with a natural talent who know how to meet business and marketing objectives through simple, uncluttered and purposeful content for web medium.

Optionally you can also be involved in creating websites with (X)HTML meeting usability and W3C standards.

If you have excellent writing skills and the right attitude, we can train you further to refine other skills to perform the role effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Involve in creating professional and effective web content using marketing and SEO oriented writing skills
  • Communicate with clients where required
  • Exhibit a high level of attention to detail
  • Learn new skills to produce fit for business purpose web sites from concept to delivery
  • Continuously improve your industry knowledge including effective website, e-commerce, SEO and internet marketing areas
  • Handle pressure while working on tight deadlines

Optionally:

  • Involve in creating web pages with (X)HTML, basic CSS complying with usability and W3C standards where required
  • Effectively use the internal CMS to publish content

  Key Requirements:

  • A recognised degree in a relevant field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is an absolute MUST
  • A minimum of 2 years of Commercial business writing experience
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Good understanding of Social Media networks such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn is desirable
  • Basic knowledge of content management systems and an understanding of (X)HTML and CSS will be considered as an additional advantage but not essential
